Matt doesn't like to just have pictures made. He thinks you should be doing something in the picture even if it is something ridiculous like this.
Annie and especially Joel loved the Dalmatian section of our hotel. They wanted to stop and have their picture taken here every time we walked by it.
For some reason Annie was dying to have her picture made with these pumpkins while we were waiting for JJ to rent a stroller. After meeting back up with JJ we headed straight to the line at the barbershop.
They had characters all around town square when we arrived. Daisy fortunately was standing right outside the barbershop. I have never met Daisy before so I was excited to see her and get her autograph.
A short time later while we were still in line for the barbershop Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar showed up. I have never even seen them before at Disney World so it was great to meet them. You can see how excited Joel was. This was his attitude about characters the entire week. And believe it or not Annie did know who these guys were.
Here is a picture of the colors Annie picked out but you can't really see her cut because she has it tucked behind her ears. It takes the paint up to an hour to dry and until hers did she was getting it all over everyone. She went first getting her hair trimmed hoping it would make Joel want to get his cut more if she was doing it too. It didn't work. He didn't want anything to do with sitting in that chair and that lady touching his hair. But just like Annie's first cut, as soon as he was given the bubbles nothing else mattered anymore.
These are the mouse ears they gave him and they say My First Haircut on the back.
And here is the finished product. I love the cut and it makes him look so different.
And here he is with the gel paint they put in it.
Dad decided while we were there he would go ahead and get a haircut because he meant to before we left but didn't have a chance. They sprinkled pixie dust on the top and painted a Mickey head on the back.
We were done at the barbershop around 11:30. We stopped for pictures with the castle as we walked down Main Street.

The kids stopped to ride the carousel while John went to get us Fast Passes for Peter Pan's Flight. After getting off the carousel we stopped to see if anyone could pull the sword out of the stone. It didn't budge so I guess none of us were destined to be king of England.
Snow White's Scary Adventures didn't have any line so we rode that next. It scared Annie again but Joel enjoyed it. This trip she was scared all over again of all the things she learned not to be scared of in June. We all went to watch Mickey's PhilharMagic next. Right before the show was starting Annie needed to go to the bathroom so Kara, JJ, and the kids left. The rest of us stayed to watch. Dad loves this show. He said it was his favorite 3D.
We were all getting hungry so we stopped to eat lunch at The Pinocchio Village Haus. This is Annie's absolute favorite place to eat. It has her two favorite things, pizza and a view of It's a Small World. We were able to grab a table with a view of the ride which thrilled Matt because we all know how much he loves that ride. Annie and Joel stood at the window most of the meal and waved at the boats going by. After lunch we used our Fast Passes for Peter Pan's Flight. This is always one of every one's favorite rides. Joel really liked it because Peter Pan is one of the few movies he is very familiar with. We rode It's a Small World next and Joel cried when we had to get off because he wanted to ride again. Annie was sitting by me and insisted on holding hands the entire time because she said the picture tells you to hold hands and not dance.
We rode The Haunted Mansion next and Annie told us she had to ride with Grampy to make sure he wouldn't get scared. She then went on to tell him that these were nice ghosts and he didn't need to be afraid. Passing through Liberty Square we stopped to take pictures in the stocks. Annie has wanted John's picture in one of these for the longest time ever since she saw it on one of the videos.
Joel, Dad, and I stayed in Frontierland to watch Woody's Roundup while the rest of them went to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Joel loved seeing Woody and Bullseye singing and dancing. He has this thing where when he is excited about something he will pat your face so you will look at it and he did this non-stop. We went inside to watch Country Bear Jamboree while we were waiting. Joel liked this show and his face patting kept interrupting dad's nap so I finally had to put him in my lap so dad could get his nap in. Annie hated Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. She said it was really scary. Matt and JJ went to go ride Splash Mountain while the rest of us watched the afternoon parade.
Before the parade they were blowing bubbles for the kids to chase to keep them entertained. This was one of the only times the whole week it was really hot. We were directly in the sun and even though we all put on sunscreen right before we all got sunburned. I don't care too much for the afternoon parade but the kids really enjoyed it. We met up with JJ and Matt in Pecos Bills where we all had a break while John went to get us Fast Passes for Jungle Cruise. After a nice relaxing snack we went to ride Pirates of the Caribbean. There was absolutely no line at all so we got right back on and rode it again because Annie was begging to. And really it never takes much convincing to get us to ride Pirates again.
We rode Jungle Cruise next which Matt really enjoyed. He seemed to like all the stupid Jokes. Or maybe just who was telling the stupid jokes.
Matt, JJ, the kids, and I rode The Magic Carpets of Aladdin then we headed back to Pecos Bills for supper. After we ate, we rode The Haunted Mansion again because there was no line at all and we just walked right in. This time I rode with Matt so I could show him where the hidden Mickey in the graveyard was.
Back in Fantasyland the kids rode the carousel again because it never had a line. It was 7:00 so we decided it was time to start looking for a spot to watch the parade at 8:00 and Dad and Matt decided to head back to the room. We looked everywhere and we could find no curbside spot left on the parade route and we didn't want to stand for an hour so we decided just to head back as well and catch it on our other Magic Kingdom day.
