Training
Today we had our 8 hour adoptive parent training required by the state. We had to be in Waco by 8 am so we set our alarm for the terrible hour of 4 am. The training was good even though we didn't really learn a lot of new things because of all we have learned from our church's adoption ministry. They did have 2 birthmoms come in to speak and it was good hearing about their experiences and the process from their point of view. I think I am a lot less scared about having a relationship with our birthmother now. Mostly we are so thankful now that all our paperwork is turned in and the training is finished. Now besides having our house clean for the homestudy (which will be June 30) we don't really have a lot left to do ourselves except the waiting. I'm sure that will be difficult but we know that impatience just demonstrates our lack of faith that God will bring the child he has created to fit perfectly in our family at exactly the right time. Knowing that makes waiting easier.
