Generations Adoptions

Friday February 22 we made the trip to Waco to meet with our agency Generations Adoptions. We had a two hour orientation with Cathy Sones the Executive Director and basically she went over just about every step we would be taking and answered all our questions. We liked her a lot and we still have the same peace about our choice. The bummer is we found out they require an 8 hour training at their agency before they can do the homestudy. Because the training involves several speakers they don't schedule one for every couple that signs up but rather spaces them out several times a year so they can train more at one time. Unfortunately the next one is in June. So basically all we can do until June is get our formal application filled out and wait for the training. But because we have faith that this is the agency God has led us to we are trusting in his timing even though sometimes it is easy for us to get impatient. The upside is thankfully the training is not during the time we are going to be at Disney World in June.
